Alexandra-Maria-Lara

Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is an Romanian actress and television presenter. She's best known as the main character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control, and Rush. Being the sole daughter of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu. Alexandra began her professional career in showbiz at a young age. She was a lead actress in TV dramas as young at the age of 16. Her portrayal of Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue, from Downfall (an Oscar-nominated historic war film) was critically as well as highly rated commercially. Additional Oscar nominated films featuring the actress include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Over the years Alexandra has worked in several noteworthy national and international projects. These comprise British biographical film Control as well as The Dust of Time as along with the French history mini-series Napoleon. In addition, she was an active member of The Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
